Alba on Drawball
Posted on 9:18:00 PM by Rodrigo

Well what do you know? Exactly one month since my last post!
Here is another pic I drew on
Drawball and it made it in the
Hall of Fame again or if you would like, you can look at the
screenshot of it.
I'm gettting lots of feedback from a lot of strangers and it's great. People from all over the world have added me to their MSN just to say "good job". I'd like to thank them for that. I really appreciate it.
I have also made myself a
DeviantART account just so I can put these drawings in. There is also a direct link to it up above on the menu. Follow the link and post some comments if you like.
Well my Internet speed has slowed down for the rest of the month so I can't really draw anymore on drawball until next month! I'll try draw some stuff just on Photoshop or something.
Drawball
Posted on 4:29:00 PM by Rodrigo

I've made it in the
Hall of Fame again! That's pretty cool.. Now I don't know what else I can draw to top that one..
Here are the direct links if you cannot access them anymore.
"Red Dragon 1""Red Dragon 2""Red Dragon Screenshot"Drawball have also updated their site by protecting work that they think deserves to be protected. My dragon is now protected so no one else can draw over it. So you can also try to find whree the actual location of my work is. Good luck!
UPDATE: I've lost my ink for Drawball while I was away for the weekend. I wonder when I can get my unlimited ink back?
I'm BACK (again)
Posted on 9:21:00 AM by Rodrigo

Hey I said I was back, but I'm back again! (Hopefully for good)
Anyway I found
Drawball about a week ago and I was hooked! I couldn't help but check out all the scribbles on the site.
Anyway I decided to do my own masterpiece only to have it scribbled over in minutes. I had a second try but then my browser froze! Nooo!!! So third time lucky and I made it to the
"Hall of Fame". Even though they got my name wrong. It's Rod, not "Rad"(UPDATE: They fixed it for me)...but Woohoo anyway! I suggest you check it out.
Like a sandcastle, pictures in drawball get's destroyed, here's
screenshot1 and
screenshot2 of what I made while it's still good... Otherwise an earlier version is still in the Hall of Fame.
I'm back!
Posted on 11:02:00 PM by Rodrigo
Hey everyone. Well the site is back up after about 7 months! I've got a new server so expect some new changes. Lot's of data have been lost from the previous site, but I will try to recover as much as I can.

Basically you need to see it. It's like a virtual reality object but in the real world. Imagine using this technology in future gaming.
You will need
Real Player to view the clip. It's worth it.
UPDATE: New
video in english and played in windows media player. Hope you guys like it.
Biggest Web Design Mistakes of 2004
Posted on 9:04:00 AM by Rodrigo
Web Pages That Suck recently published a list of things that web designers are doing wrong. It's a real eye opener that really makes sense (if you're a web designer).
Vincent Flanders, author of
Web Pages That Suck, explains the dos and do nots of web design and the biggest mistakes made by designers. He tells you what web designers are doing and why it's wrong.
It is worth the read especially if you're a web designer.
"These mistakes apply only to real sites -- not personal, band, music, art, movie, experimental, fashion, and (some) sports sites.
Some mistakes aren't actually design mistakes in the classical sense -- ugly graphics, bad navigation, etc."
I'm beginning to think my website just might "suck!" hehehehe.
Map of Springfield
Posted on 1:04:00 PM by Rodrigo

Ever wanted to see how the map of Springfield looks like? Well
Guide to Springfield USA has a complete geographical map of Springfield! YAY!
"The mapping of Springfield began in the Spring of 2001 when we realized that no adequate map of Springfield existed either online or in print. Initially the content was collected from the City Profile and Springfield Vacation pages at The Simpsons Archive, but it has since been expanded by numerous viewings of most episodes of The Simpsons."
Happy Australia Day
Posted on 10:38:00 AM by Rodrigo

Hope you guys have a safe and good Australia Day break!
What is
Australia Day about?
"Australia Day, January 26, is the biggest day of celebration in the country and is observed as a public holiday in all states and territories.
On Australia Day we come together as a nation celebrate what's great about Australia and being Australian. It's the day to reflect on what we have achieved and what we can be proud of in our great nation."
Nintendo to release new Consoles
Posted on 3:50:00 PM by Rodrigo

Can you believe Nintendo are already planning 2 new
systems to be released in 2006? One is a portable console (not the
DS) called Gameboy Evolution and a new console called Gamecube Next.
There are currently no pictures so you have to use your imagination. The Gameboy Evolution is suppose to have a flip-top design similar to the GBA SP but uses mini discs instead of cartridges. That's funny coz didn't Sony invent the MD who is also realeasing the
PSP?
Well one thing that Nintendo is doing differently to Sony is in the Gamecube Next, which will use HD-DVD rather than Blu-ray discs. It would also have a 15Gb hdd. There is also supposedly something that "is nothing new technically speaking. It's just something that hasn't really been applied to video games before."
Will this be a good system? I guess we will have to wait till next year to see!
Telstra Plans an Upgrade
Posted on 2:53:00 PM by Rodrigo

It's never been the same since I transferred from cable to ADSL. Cable was so much faster but now Telstra plans to increase their network. Hopefully telstra will start developing ADSL2+ so that I can get back what I lost. Once you go broadband you can't go back. The following is a quote from
The Australian.
"TELSTRA management will in coming months present to the board a blueprint for a $1.5 billion upgrade of the company's core residential voice and data network.
The project (known as Broadband Multi-Services) will be Telstra's biggest residential upgrade for a decade and enable a suite of new high-speed consumer services.
It will include a network platform to serve technologies such as wireless broadband, faster ADSL (broadband over copper wires), cable, internet-based voice services and video offerings."
Me and Michelle
Posted on 5:34:00 PM by Rodrigo

This picture of me and Michelle was taken on my LG T5100 and transferred through MMS! This is just a test to see if I could update my entries using a mobile phone.
The problems where that it did not conform to web standards and the formatting was not completely set correctly, therefore I had to edit this post manually.
The good thing about it is that it's a great way to open a Moblog (Mobile Blog) to update pictures on the run!
De-Kryptos
Posted on 7:52:00 AM by Rodrigo

For those of you who are interested in cracking puzzles here's something for you.
"Kryptos is a sculpture located on the grounds of CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia. Installed in 1990, its thousands of characters contain encrypted messages, of which three have been solved (so far). There is still a fourth section at the bottom consisting of 97 or 98 characters which remains uncracked."
Even the book "
The Da Vinci Code" has some easter eggs associated with it!
The new Mac mini
Posted on 2:24:00 PM by Rodrigo

Apple recently released the
Mac mini. I think it's pretty cool.
It's cheaper than most Macs out at only AU$799 and very tiny at 16.51cm x 16.51cm x 5cm! It doesn't include a mouse, keyboard or monitor which is easily attainable.
The good thing is that you can upgrade it easily thanks to documentation from
Smash. He gives you all the information needed to go about opening and upgrading it. :)
It's out right now according to the apple website, so be sure to get it!
Apple also released the new
iPod Shuffle which is like the iPod except it shuffles your music for you (doesn't the ipod already do that!?), holds 512MB or 1Gb of music and is a USB stick as big as a pack of PK gum!
Personally I think apple is trying to market everything like the iPod, which is pretty smart. =D
